Thrift Shop Manager

My name is Craig Lee and I have lived in the Lake area my entire life. I grew up with two brothers, graduated high school from School of the Osage, and went on to earn a Business Administration degree from Columbia College.

I have worked in retail management for over ten years and have enjoyed it tremendously because I get the opportunity to meet new people every day. I've been married to my wife Amy since 1997 and we have two wonderful boys named Dustin and Connor who attend school in Eldon, where we make our home.

Having lived in the lake area for nearly all my life, I have set deep roots here and find I have a particular passion for working with special-needs people. Volunteer work has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. Starting out as a Girl Scout Troop leader and then working as a church youth group leader, I quickly realized that my interaction with young people would be extremely satisfying.

In recent years I have been actively engaged with the great people at Camp Wonderland in Rocky Mount. My experiences in that special place are proving to be blessings beyond anything I could have imagined. I continue to be active at Wonderland during the summer season and have become involved in the many camp-related events held during the off-season as well.

In the time I have spent with the special-needs people, I have been awed by the daily blessings they bring to my life. I am now becoming more fully aware of the rewards to be found in working with these unique individuals who sincerely appreciate the tremendous difference just a bit of compassionate attention can make in one's life.

And so I now discover that I have become a committed advocate of causes dedicated to serving special needs people. The more I am with them the more I am inspired to do anything and everything I can to help them. They have become, in a very real sense, what I now live for.
