Angela Landon wrote this song as a high school senior after someone called her a "Retard" on the school bus. Angela herself is affected by a developmental disability and knows first-hand how hurtful the word "retarded" can be. Angela is a phenomenal self-advocate who has made it her personal goal to educate children, teachers, and her community songs and beautifully illustrated children's books.
